The final controller was inspired by the film used in the fliposcope, aiming to create a coherent connection between the two. The film, Evil Does Not Exist, explores themes of nature, which informed the choice of materials for the controller. Elements derived from trees—such as paper, cardboard, wood, and stiffboards—were intentionally incorporated to align with the natural theme.

The curvature at the bottom of each fliposcope allows each frame to bristle against the surface, producing a soft brown noise that mimics the rustling of leaves, adding an auditory layer to the overall experience. This subtle detail enhances the organic and immersive feel of the controller.

On the functional side, the fliposcopes were designed as directional inputs for a snake game, requiring users to physically rotate them to control movement. Each fliposcope represents a direction, creating a tactile and interactive approach to gameplay. By incorporating mechanical elements into the controller, it combines functionality with storytelling, offering a unique take on how nature-inspired themes can influence design.
